How to Book a Trip in Spanish (w/ FREE Script and Audio)

Título: Cómo reservar un viaje Personajes: Carla y Daniela

Escenario: Daniela ayuda a Carla a reservar y planificar sus próximas vacaciones.

Title: How to Book a Trip Characters: Carla and Daniela

Setting: Daniela helps Carla to book and plan her next vacation.

Carla:
 ¡Necesito unas vacaciones! NM: I need a vacation! LT: I need some vacations!
Daniela:
 ¿Qué necesitas exactamente? NM: What do you need exactly? LT: What you need exactly?
Carla:
 ¡Necesito un viaje! Justo tengo vacaciones en mayo. NM: I need a trip! I happen to have a vacation in May. LT: I need a trip! Exactly I have vacations in May.
¿Tú tienes vacaciones también? NM: Do you have a vacation too? LT: You have vacations also?
Daniela:
 No tengo vacaciones. ¿Viajas sola? NM: I don’t have a vacation. Are you traveling alone? LT: Not I have vacations. You travel alone?
Carla:
 Voy al mar sola o a las montañas, no sé. NM: I go to the sea alone or to the mountains, I don’t know. LT: I go to the sea alone or to the mountains, not I know.
Pero este año quiero viajar a Suiza, es un país seguro. NM: But this year I want to travel to Switzerland, it is a safe country. LT: But this year I want to travel to Switzerland, it is a country safe.
Daniela:
 Vale. Para mí, es mejor viajar en avión con un asiento cerca de la ventana. NM: Okay. For me, it is better to travel by plane with a window seat. LT: Okay. For me, it is better to travel in plane with a seat near of the window.
Carla:
 ¡¿A que sí?! Es peor viajar en barco. NM: Right?! It is worse to travel by boat. LT: To that yes?! It is worse to travel in boat.
Daniela:
 Tampoco podrías viajar en barco, ¡Suiza no tiene mar! NM: You couldn’t travel by boat anyway, Switzerland has no sea! LT: Neither you could travel in boat, Switzerland no has sea!
Carla:
 Ah, es verdad. NM: Ah, that’s true. LT: Ah, it is true.
Daniela:
 ¿Prefieres ir a la montaña o al campo? NM: Do you prefer going to the mountains or the countryside? LT: You prefer to go to the mountains or to the countryside?
Carla:
 Los dos. Quiero ir a la montaña y al campo. NM: Both. I want to go to the mountains and the countryside. LT: The two. I want to go to the mountain and to the countryside.
Daniela:
 Muy bien. Allí conozco un hotel en una zona mejor. NM: Very well. I know a hotel there in a better area. LT: Very well. There I know a hotel in an area better.
Está cerca de una parada de autobús y de una estación de tren. NM: It is near a bus stop and a train station. LT: It is near of a stop of bus and of a station of train.
También hay un puerto bonito en el lago. NM: There is also a pretty port on the lake. LT: Also there is a port pretty on the lake..
Carla:
 ¡Qué bien! Solo necesito una maleta y unas gafas de sol. NM: How great! I only need a suitcase and sunglasses. LT: What well! Only I need a suitcase and some glasses of sun.
¿Qué dinero tienen allí? NM: What currency do they have there? LT: What money they have there?
Daniela:
 Tienen francos suizos. NM: They have Swiss francs. LT: They have francs Swiss.
Carla:
 Claro. Mañana voy a la agencia para reservar el viaje. NM: Of course. Tomorrow I’m going to the agency to book the trip. LT: Clear. Tomorrow I go to the agency to book the trip.
¿Hay aparcamiento en el hotel? NM: Is there parking at the hotel? LT: There is parking in the hotel?
Daniela:
 Sí, hay aparcamiento, pero hay que pagar con moneda. NM: Yes, there is parking, but you have to pay with coins. LT: Yes, there is parking, but there is that to pay with coin.
¿Vas a alquilar un coche para moverte? NM: Are you going to rent a car to get around? LT: You are going to rent a car to move yourself?
Carla:
 No, porque no conduzco y no quiero contratar a un conductor. NM: No, because I don’t drive and I don’t want to hire a driver. LT: No, because not I drive and not I want to hire to a driver.
Daniela:
 Entonces, ¿por qué me preguntas si hay aparcamiento? NM: Then, why are you asking me if there is parking? LT: Then, why me you ask if there is parking?
Carla:
 Para saber solo, jajaja. NM: Just to know, hahaha. LT: For to know only, hahaha.
