How to Talk About Schedules in Spanish (w/ FREE Script and Audio)

Lucía:
 Oye, Carlos. ¿Cuándo trabajas? NM: Hey, Carlos. When do you work? LT: Hey, Carlos. When you work?
Carlos:
 Mañana trabajo. NM: I work tomorrow. LT: Tomorrow I work.
Lucía:
 ¿A qué hora trabajas? NM: What time do you work? LT: At what hour you work?
Carlos:
 Mañana entro a las ocho. Trabajo de lunes a viernes. NM: Tomorrow I start at eight. I work Monday to Friday. LT: Tomorrow I enter at the eight. I work from Monday to Friday.
Lucía:
 ¿En serio? ¿A las ocho de la mañana? ¡Qué pronto empiezas a trabajar! ¡Qué rollo, de verdad! NM: Really? At eight in the morning? You start work so early! What a drag, seriously! LT: In serious? At the eight of the morning? How soon you start to work! What roll, of truth!
Carlos:
 ¡Ya te digo! Me levanto a las siete, hago la cama, me ducho y ya voy al trabajo. NM: Tell me about it! I get up at seven, make the bed, shower, and then I go to work. LT: Already you I tell! Myself I get up at the seven, I make the bed, myself I shower and already I go to the work.
Lucía:
 ¿No tienes tiempo para desayunar? ¿Estás liado en tu curro? NM: Don’t you have time for breakfast? Are you busy at work? LT: Not you have time for breakfast? Are you tied up in your work?
Carlos:
 Pues, la verdad es que estoy muy liado. Mañana, por ejemplo, tengo varias reuniones todo el día. NM: Well, the truth is I’m very busy. Tomorrow, for example, I have several meetings all day. LT: Well, the truth is that I am very tied up. Tomorrow, for example, I have various meetings all the day.
A las nueve tengo reunión, a las diez otra reunión, a las once tengo una hora para comer y a las doce otra reunión. NM: At nine I have a meeting, at ten another meeting, at eleven I have an hour for lunch, and at twelve another meeting. LT: At the nine I have meeting, at the ten another meeting, at the eleven I have an hour for lunch, and at the twelve another meeting.
Lucía:
 ¡Vaya horario tienes! NM: What a schedule you have! LT: Go schedule you have!
Carlos:
 Por lo menos salgo pronto, salgo a las tres. NM: At least I leave early, I leave at three. LT: For the least I leave soon, I leave at the three..
De cuatro a cinco entreno, y a las cinco vuelvo a casa. NM: From four to five I work out, and at five I go home. LT: From four to five I work out, and at the five I return to home..
Lucía:
 ¿Con qué frecuencia entrenas? NM: How often do you work out? LT: With what frequency you work out?
Carlos:
 Todos los días entreno. NM: Every day I work out. LT: All the days I work out.
Lucía:
 ¿Sigues estudiando para tu máster? NM: Are you still studying for your master’s? LT: You continue studying for your master’s?
Carlos:
 Sí. NM: Yes. LT: Yes.
Lucía:
 ¿Cuándo vas a clase? NM: When do you go to class? LT: ¡When you go to class?
Carlos:
 A las seis voy a clase. NM: At six I go to class. LT: At the six I go to class.
Lucía:
 ¿Cómo vas a clase? NM: How do you get to class? LT: How you go to class?
Carlos:
 A veces voy a clase en coche, pero muy a menudo voy en metro. NM: Sometimes I go to class by car, but very often I go by metro. LT: At times I go to class in car, but very often I go in metro.
Lucía:
 ¿Tienes tiempo para cenar? NM: Do you have time for dinner? LT: You have time for dinner?
Carlos:
 Sí. Pero no cocino, solo pido para llevar. NM: Yes. But I don’t cook, I just order takeaway. LT: Yes. But not I cook, only I request for to take.
Y en cuanto llegue a casa, ceno y después hago la tarea de clase. NM: And as soon as I get home, I eat dinner and then do my homework. LT: And in as much I arrive to home, I eat dinner and after I make the task of class.
Lucía:
 Pues, ya no tienes más tiempo en la noche para dormir. NM: Well, you don’t have any more time at night to sleep. LT: Well, already not you have more time in the night for to sleep.
En la mañana trabajas, en la tarde estudias… ¿Estás bien? NM: In the morning you work, in the afternoon you study… Are you okay? LT: In the morning you work, in the afternoon you study… Are you well?
Carlos:
 Jejeje, todavía estoy bien. ¿Y tú? Cuéntame de tu vida. NM: Hehehe, I’m still doing well. How about you? Tell me about your life. LT: Hehehe, still I am well. And you? Tell me of your life.
Lucía:
 No trabajo, estoy de baja por maternidad. NM: I’m not working, I’m on maternity leave. LT: Not I work, I am of leave for maternity.
Carlos:
 ¡En serio! ¿Estás embarazada? ¡Enhorabuena, Lucía! NM: Really! You’re pregnant? Congratulations, Lucía! LT: In serious! You are pregnant? In good hour, Lucía.
Lucía:
 Gracias. Esta tarde tengo cita con mi médico, de la una a las dos. NM: Thanks. This afternoon I have a doctor’s appointment, from one to two. LT: Thanks. This afternoon I have appointment with my doctor, from the one to the two.
